NASCAR Girl

I have had a few recent emails asking about John Grahame’s mask. Earlier this year I posted a couple of stories about Cam Ward’s masks, but really haven’t talked much about John’s. While Steve Nash from Eye Candy Air airbrushed Cam’s mask, I’m not sure who designed and brushed Grahame’s. Obviously it has a NASCAR theme with a well endowed “NASCAR Girl” on both sides. I remember reading earlier in the year about how John likes to have a local flavor on his masks and while Raleigh isn’t exactly as much of a NASCAR hotbed as Charlotte is, we give John kudos for his idea! It is a very unique and colorful mask. I wish I had more inside scoop for you, but that’s all I’ve got on it right now.

Last night the Ottawa Senators eliminated the New Jersey Devils 4 games to 2. Nice job by the Sens and now they will get a few extra days rest as they watch and wait for the winner of the Rangers/Sabres series. Out west, the Red Wings beat the Sharks to take a 3-2 lead in that series. Funny how things can change so quickly in sports. In one game a team can look unbeatable, in the next they look lost. The Sharks fit that bill and they need to find themselves fast or else they will be on the losing side of the handshake line Monday night in San Jose.
