With Arms Wide Open

Matt Cullen is BACK! Read all about it on this Canes write up.  Carolina sends Hutchinson, Barnes, and a 3rd round pick to New York. It doesn’t look like a bad deal at all for the Canes, and looks to be a pure salary dump by the Rangers. Much more about this later. Welcome back Matt!

  1. Wow. Awesome. I might just be talking ignorant but I think that addition makes our forward lines pretty friggin deep with hamilton on 4th. If i were boss…..
    1st line Brind’amour, Whitney, Williams.
    2nd line Staal, Cole, Stillman
    3rd line Cullen, Walker, Ladd,
4th line Hamilton, Larose, and whoever.

I guess now all that’s left to haggle now is D.

  2. Hot diggity dog! This is pure music to my ears.

  3. Great news. I was so afraid they were going to mess around at let one of our “missing pieces” slip away to another team.

Once again, in the immortal words of one Jake Blues, “we are putting THE BAND back together.”

OT: The 2nd best quote from that movie, ‘I hate Illinois’ Nazis”

  4. Now all we need is Defensmen! It’s great Cully is back, but who the heck is going to stop the other teams from scoring? Our D is sad. And i know Hutch wasn’t the best D-man in the orginization, but it was nice to be able to call him up when our dinosaurs on defense got hurt!!!!!
