Beverly Hills

The Canes will be making their way back to Beverly Hills at least every other year again, as the NHL Board of Governors approved a new scheduling format last night. Each team will play other teams within their division 6 times now instead of 8. They continue to play other teams within their conference 4 times each. They will play teams in the other conference 1 time each, and then they will have 3 “wildcard” games. Gotta love the wild card games! Franchises will rotate arenas so that each team is guaranteed to make an appearance in another city at least one time every 2 years. Apparently, 26 teams voted for this much anticipated change! Luke DeCock reports that Mike Amendola represented and voted for Carolina. I wonder what Jim Rutherford was doing which kept him away from the proceedings? Luke, why didn’t you ask that question?!
