Joe Jensen recalled - Canes at Devils 1 PM Pregame

That is not a typo. Joe Jensen, the mystery forward the Hurricanes acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins farm system earlier this year for David Gove, will see his first ever NHL action today. Lord Stanley’s Blog is reporting that Erik Cole will not play due to the flu, and apparently sometime from the time he scored the game winning goal on Saturday night to this afternoon, Ray Whitney tweaked his groin. Wonderful.

Lord Stanley’s Blog is reporting the lineup to be as follows….

  • Cullen-Staal-Hamilton
  • Ladd-Letowski-Samsonov
  • Bayda-Aucoin-Walker
  • Brookbank-Jensen-Conboy
  • Kaberle-Corvo
  • Wesley-Wallin
  • Borer-Gleason

John Grahame will be the lucky netminder for this crew. I can’t help but wonder why the Hurricanes didn’t recall Brandon Nolan, the leading scorer in Albany. Is this the best lineup they could come up with? Supposedly these games have the importance of playoff games, yet the players of this team keep dropping like flies. This lineup doesn’t look very “playoffish”. Oh well, miracles do happen.

Gametime is at 1PM and it will be broadcast on FSN.

  1. this is about the poll…
i chose sergei samsonov for a number of reasons. the thing that shocked me was that almost everyone else chose sergei. thats pretty cool. canes fans that i have known have mostly been “homers” if you will. there are sexier picks on that board but i like the fact that these fans are separating their heart from their head

  2. Joe Jensen is the sexiest best player ever!! And he should be up in the NHL making $500,000!
