Here’s some of what we can glean from all these numbers.

• It looks like Michal Jordan and Chris Terry are off to fast starts for Plymouth. This is particularly encouraging in Jordan’s case, because many pundits thought his selection in the fourth round of this past draft was a reach. Jordan’s plus-nine puts him for a tie for second in the entire OHL in plus/minus.

• Drayson Bowman may not have had the best camp, but he picked up where he left off in Spokane, scoring a team-high eight goals in nine games. Bowman looked a little overwhelmed at times during the preseason, but his return to form in the WHL is a good sign. Zach Boychuk also already has a goal in one game back with Lethbridge after a brief stint with the Canes.

• The Daniel Manzato-Justin Peters goaltender battle in Albany is a wash so far. Neither has stood out after alternating the first four games of the year.

• Speaking of goalies, Mike Murphy has been brilliant in Belleville, leading the Bulls to the top of the OHL’s Eastern Conference. Magnus Akerlund has the backup job with Timra in the SEL and has outperformed the starter, Johan Backlund (3.65 GAA, .875 S%). Still he’s seen only three games to Backlund’s 12.

• No one really jumps off the page in Albany, but the injuries to Jerome Samson and Joe Jensen can’t be helping Jeff Daniels in his head coaching debut.

• Samuel Morneau has been a bright spot on an otherwise dreadful Val-d’Or team (record of 1-12-1-1 with 36 goals for and 78 against).

• Zac Dalpe is off to a good start with the Buckeyes, while Kyle Lawson and Jamie McBain have been solid for Notre Dame and Wisconsin, respectively.

• Nate Hagemo has landed with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. I know he’s played in one game, but I can’t find any information beyond that — he’s not even listed on the team’s Web site yet.

• Finally, it’s great to see Bobby Hughes back on the ice in Albany. He had 16 points in 26 games with Albany last season before going down with a mysterious neck injury. Here are a couple articles about his return: Vaughn Citizen, Schenectady Daily Gazette,
